It’s theme time again! And this time, inspired by the SRT CSS template, I present a single-column, minimalistic, no-image, fast-loading theme ideal for lots of writing and textual stuffs – wzWhitePaper!

wzWhitePaper - Free Wordpress Theme from WebbyZone!Download | Demo

Features:

  • Innovative Layout
  • Displays “About Author” section on homepage
  • Displays 2 “Featured Posts” on homepage
  • Displays the latest posts from each category on homepage
  • Single column – no sidebars
  • Theme settings page. Once the theme is activated, a WhitePaper Options link is displayed in your admin panel under the Appearance section. You can enter your details right from the admin panel and do not need to manually edit any part of the raw php theme files. You can add / edit the following -
    • Enter your twitter username. It will automatically be added to the Follow Me link in the footer.
    • Enter your Feedburner URL and replace your default feed URL by simply checking a box.
    • Enter your Feedburner ID and automatically get a link to “Subscribe via Email” image in the footer.
    • Enter your Feedburner Subscription Counter HTML and it will automatically start displaying in the footer.
    • Simply check one box and hide all the subscription links.
    • Add your Google Analytics code and other Stats codes (e.g. Statcounter) and it will automatically get included in all your pages allowing proper tracking of your traffic data.
  • Gravatar support
  • Author comments highlighted
  • Dropdown list of monthly archives

Installation Instructions:

  • Download and unzip the wzWhitePaper.zip
  • Open the about.php in your favorite code editor (dreamweaver / notepad does fine)
  • Edit the content within the semi-colons to write something about the author / blog and save it.
  • Upload the directory to your wp-content/themes directory.
  • Activate the theme from your admin panel.
  • Visit the WhitePaper Options page from the link that appears under the “Appearance” section of your admin panel and enter the necessary info.
  • Click on the save button and you are ready to go.

Special Notes:

  • In order to display the featured posts, you need to create a category named “Featured” first. No other category would display on the featured section. Only 2 latest posts under the “Featured” category shows up in the homepage. The zone would remain empty if no featured posts are there.
  • No post images are displayed in the homepage. If you have a post with no textual content and only images, only the title will display in the homepage.
